Well, it was an interesting start to the show on Saturday night. It feels a little hard to explain but here's a locked off shot from the back of the room. There is a man who interrupts the show when I was just getting my first few sentences out. I definitely hadn't told a first joke yet.
It may be hard to hear but he kept saying "DADDY'S HERE", and you'll have to trust me but it was VERY distracting to the half of the room at the front. There was no way I could avoid engaging with him. This was definitely not a curated crowd work bit lol.
Special thanks to Chris Halef for letting his camera roll. And a big thanks to the crowd at Halifax Live for laughing through the awkwardness. Man, if your audience doesn't laugh along with you these interactions are the death of the set for sure, before you've even got your first joke out.
