The #Evo2 and #Evo2Pro just received a software update 2.5.12 and a recent app update that enables several new features including IMU calibration and a 3 axis compass calibration. Previously we only had to worry about performing a #CompassCalibration on the Evo 2 with only 2 axis but with the latest update Autel has added a 3rd axis as part of the compass calibration process.

There are several different ways you can perform a compass calibration on your Autel Evo 2 drone and I will show you a couple of different ways to achieve good results. One of the methods is easier than the other but the way you perform the compass calibration is up to you.

Very similar to how you have to perform the IMU calibration where you turn the Evo 2 on its side, you do the same with the Evo 2 compass calibration. The new third axis is to turn the Evo 2 drone on its side and perform one last rotation. The reason for the 3rd axis on the Evo 2 compass calibration is to give the drone more information to help with drifting and stability in the sky.
