server in C# / .NET that gives Claude direct access to your SQL Server database.
We'll start from a blank skeleton, let Claude Code (Opus 4.5) write the entire
implementation, and end with a fully working server — complete with security
guardrails that block any dangerous queries.
You'll learn how to:
Set up an MCP server project in .NET
Create tools for listing tables and running read-only queries
Add SQL injection protection and query validation
Configure the connection string via environment variables
Test everything live with Claude Code as the MCP client
