आबादी के लिहाज से भारत का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा देश है और सबसे तेजी से आगे आढ़ती अर्थव्यवस्थाओं में एक है 
जानकारों का अनुमान है कि अपने आर्थिक विकास और अपनी नौजवान आबादी के सहारे अगले ५० साल में भारत दुनिया को एक महाशक्ति होगा 
इसके बावजूद भारत दुनिया के सबसे ग़रीब देशों में एक है और यहाँ को ३५ फोस्दो आबादी निरक्षर है
स्वास्थ्य सुविधाएं बिजली और पिने का साफ पानी भी बहुत कम लोगों को मिल पा रहे है
क्या इन अभावों को वजह से भारत वो जगह हासिल नहीं कर पाएगा जो उसकी पहुंक में दिख रही है ?
