Have you ever taken a train in Morocco? I took the train from Marrakech to Casablanca alone and while I had my doubts it turned out to be perfectly safe! Get a first class ticket and bring your own snacks or lunch since there isn't much on the snack cart that comes around.
But yes, it was an inexpensive and safe way to travel in between cities in Morocco!
