Cyclone Senyar & Bay of Bengal Depression: IMD Latest Update 2025

Описание: Cyclonic Storm “Senyar” (pronounced Sen-yar) continues over coastal northeast Indonesia. At 1730 IST, it was centred near 4.3°N, 98.1°E, about 140 km southeast of Kuta Makmur (Indonesia). Moving south-southeastwards at 10 kmph, it is likely to turn nearly eastward after midnight and maintain cyclonic storm intensity till the forenoon of 27 November.Separately, a Well-Marked Low Pressure Area persists over the southwest Bay of Bengal, adjoining southeast Sri Lanka and the equatorial Indian Ocean. It is expected to move north-northwestwards, intensify into a depression within the next 12 hours, and further strengthen while heading towards the north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coasts over the next 48 hours.Coastal Tamil Nadu and Puducherry are advised to closely monitor further updates.
