Paddling in toddler swimming is a very important propulsive swimming skill. Here is how I like to teach toddlers to swim in a fun way. Grace is two years of age and loves to swim.
This is a learn to swim instructional video. The learn to swim process follows a building block approach. We start with water familarisation, breath control, submersion, floating and propulsion. Adult supervision within arms reach is essential during the swimming lesson. Caregivers should provide positive social referencing including smiling, eye contact and a relaxed body language. Have fun together as you teach babies and children to swim.
