After focusing on piano, an introduction to the world of musicology, music history, and music theory opened her to a multitude of music genres and styles, giving her a path to teaching, writing and research. With inspiration and guidance from a number of mentors at IU, her passion for teaching and research has paved the way to her current life in the academy.
