In October 2021, the renewal of Yahoo! JAPAN Travel was completed. This renewal was realized by integrating two accommodation reservation systems, Yahoo! JAPAN Travel, and Ikyu.com. As a result, we’ve succeeded in providing two different branded services in one system by sharing back-end functions such as vacancy management, payment, and settlement between two systems, and by sharing front-end assets including UI components.This session will cover the background of this project which was implemented by a team of around 50 people and took about half a year. Join in to see how we made progress on the project, as well as subsequent considerations we made such as system architecture, management of software engineering, and so on.
