Setting up OpenGD77 Hotspot Mode

Per many requests, here are the instructions on setting up the Hotspot mode on OpenGD77. This allows you to use your OpenGD77 Radio (paired with a Raspberry Pi) as a gateway to the brandmeister network. This allows a much higher power hotspot than the typical MMDVM devices.
As far as what models are supported, I know this works for the GD-77 and have heard it works for the GD-77S, as well. I'm not sure what other models are supported for the hotspot mode. It works very well on my GD-77!
