গোটা দেশে অসহযোগ আন্দোলনের পাশাপাশি পালিত হয় সর্বাত্মক হরতাল। খুলনায় বাঙালি ও অবাঙালিদের মাঝে সংঘর্ষ হয়।

সামরিক জান্তার সান্ধ্য আইন ভঙ্গ করে রাস্তায় নেমে আসে মানুষ। ঢাকায় আওয়ামী লীগের সংসদীয় দলের সভায় হরতালে দমন পীড়নের নিন্দা জানানো হয়।
