How to Pair Wine and Cheese, According to One of America's Top Sommeliers

Описание: Everyone knows wine and cheese go together. But there are a few rules you can follow to make your wine and cheese pairing experience even better. Patrick Cappiello, the award-winning wine director at Rebelle in New York City, is here to help. In this week’s episode of Tasting Notes, he shows us how to choose the best wine to complement the five cheeses you’ll find on a basic cheese board: goat cheese with sauvignon blanc, cheddar cheese with sparkling wine or cider, firm cheese with nutty, oxidized white wine (or a dry wine from sherry), soft washed-rind cheese with a fuller-bodied white wine or a lighter-bodied red wine like pinot noir, and blue cheese with a sweet, full-bodied wine like a port.
