Cricket fans are set for one of the biggest clashes in world cricket this Sunday in Colombo as India and Pakistan face off in a crucial T20 World Cup match.
Ahead of this high-voltage encounter, former Pakistan cricketers have made surprising promises regarding Pakistan captain Babar Azam.

During a TV discussion, former opener Ahmed Shehzad announced that if Babar plays a match-winning innings against India, he will host a grand dinner party for the entire Pakistan team.

Meanwhile, star pacer Mohammad Amir made an even more shocking statement. He hinted that if Babar scores more than 50 runs at a strike rate above 150 and leads Pakistan to victory, he might reconsider his retirement and return to the national team.

When asked whether he would take a U-turn if Babar scores at a strike rate of 160, Amir responded humorously, saying scoring 8 runs off 2 balls and getting out won’t count — it has to be a genuine match-winning performance.

Currently, Babar Azam is the highest run-scorer in T20 Internationals, but his strike rate of 128.29 and recent form have drawn criticism. In this World Cup so far, he has scored just 61 runs in two matches. Former captain Rashid Latif has, however, urged fans not to put excessive pressure on him.
