Genshin Impact: Raiden Boss Fight - Solo Ganyu [No Food, No Damage*]

Ganyu is also C6, Triple Crowned, Good artifact set, and has Amos Bow R1 - All obtained as F2P!
In particular, I don’t think this fight is possible Solo Ganyu without C6 if you go to Phase 2...

This new boss fight is easily the best in the game, and I hope the trend in quality is kept consistent for future ones. It is actually challenging the first few times before you learn it.

Most of the 1st phase can be hard, but self-explanatory and with practice it shouldn’t cause too many issues. The real meat of this fight is on phase 2.

In particular the 2:04 attack, and this is a big deal- since I suspect a lot of Solo Runs are invalidated just by this attack alone.

You have to destroy the orb, otherwise you will get hit by Raiden’s instakill attack.
No amount of Shield, HP or iframes can save you from it. The only thing that will save you is destroying the orb in time.

The thing is, your character needs to be able to deal enough elemental damage in this brief period of time the orb spawns, but before Raiden strikes. You can’t rely on your burst because it is constantly drained as soon as phase 2 starts, and while there might be some ways around it with multiple characters, if you are Solo, there is literally no way to recover your burst reliably.

So in the end, it all comes down to whenever your character can break the orb with their elemental skill alone. If they can’t do it? They get instakilled and your run ends, no ways around it.

And this is why I believe Ganyu Solo isn’t possible if you trigger phase 2 at all. It is possible to kill her before even getting to phase 2 with powerful enough gear/stats and thus completely avoid this issue, but such gear is unrealistic for most of the playerbase.

It is, however, just barely possible to do it with Ganyu C6, because of the 2 extra quick charged shots she gets when deploying the flowers, as seen in 2:09.
You also take 1 point of damage even if you do break the orb, but I don’t count this as real damage, since it’s unavoidable.

Honestly, I am kinda glad I am not able to just straight up end the fight at phase 1, I think it’s better if I show off how to deal with most of the attacks rather than just speedkilling the whole thing with brute force.

Even with otherwise borderline unkilleable characters like Kokomi or Zhongli.
You could also alternatively dash iframe them, but I would rather jump, because:
For the last set of rings 2:53; I find it better if you just jump over them at the very center like I do.
I don’t think dashing works with these, you HAVE to jump this last trio of rings.

Depending on whenever Raiden’s electro shield is down or not, you may be able to use your burst. If so, I recommend to use it for these last rings; if the electro shield is down, you will recover your burst soon enough anyway (You automatically get 100% Energy as soon as the attack ends and Raiden gets "stunned"). There is little reason to not use your burst in this scenario.
