Geographically, the city is located on the Bay of Vlorë and the foothills of the Ceraunian Mountains at the Strait of Otranto along the Adriatic and Ionian Sea within the Mediterranean Sea.

🕹 Vlora është një qytet bregdetar në jugperëndim të Shqipërisë. Vlora është qyteti i dytë më i madh portual pas Durrësit, me një popullsi prej 188.922 banorë[2] (1 janar 2020). Ndodhet në jugperëndim të Shqipërisë, në Detin Adriatik dhe është qendra e Bashkisë së Vlorës dhe Qarkut të Vlorës. Është qyteti ku është shpallur Deklarata e Pavarësisë shqiptare më 28 nëntor 1912. Themeluar në shekullin e VI p.e.s. me emrin Aulona dhe vazhdimisht i banuar për rreth 26 shekuj, Vlora është shtëpi për Portin e Vlorës dhe Universitetin e Vlorës si qyteti më i rëndësishëm ekonomik dhe kulturor i Shqipërisë jugperëndimore.
