Creating perfect raised beds - Allotment Gardening UK 2025

Описание: Join me on the plot as I prepare the raised beds for more no-dig gardening in 2025. I've added the horse manure, and I'm going to top that off with affordable local products from a local Cornish company.

This vlog is for no dig fruit and vegetable growers and allotment beginners. It aims to show you that there are alternatives to expensive bags of compost from your local garden centre.

In this video, I use a 60/40 topsoil mix and a peat-free green waste compost given to me for an honest review by a local UK recycling company in Cornwall.

When I first set up the allotment, I purchased 6 tonnes of compost from them with a further 2 tonnes a year or two later, but this year the company kindly agreed to send me some of their topsoil mix and green waste compost (Black&Gold), so I can show you what it's like and how well crops grow in it throughout the year. I did pay for the large lorry to deliver it.
