Faybienne Miranda (30/6/1950 - 21/12/2013), was born in Panama, she was a very versatile artist : a singer, a writer, a poet, a teacher and also an activist. In 1977, her first song produced by Jack Ruby and backed by the Black Disciples, titled "Prophecy", was banned from airplay by the government, yet it still became a hit and has since then turned into an all time reggae classic.
