This is a private record according to the book “Brunswick Records A Discography of Recordings 1916-1931 (Vol. 3 Chicago and Regional Sessions)” by Ross Laird. I am not sure how this record came to be or if it was released generally or only for the KHJ radio station in Los Angeles. It may have been for a special broadcast program on KHJ radio.

This record is an interesting record with exclusive artists from KHJ Radio. The label states the artists to be Carl Omeron and the Don Lee KHJ Orchestra and singers under the direction of Raymond Paige. The label also shows Don Lee’s signature.

Don Lee eventually went on to own the KHJ TV and Radio station.

The tenor Carl Omeron was often heard on the radio in the Los Angeles area. The record also features June Parker, Leigh Harline, and other KHJ performers.

KHJ went on the air at 720 kHz on April 13, 1922. The station switched frequencies several times in the late 1920s in response to increased interference on the AM band. The Federal Radio Commission (FRC) regulated the band in 1927–28 and reassigned KHJ to the regional-service frequency of 900 kHz with 1,000 watts of power, where it remained until 1941. At that point, a reorganization of the AM band by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC, successor to the FRC) in conjunction with the North American Regional Broadcasting Agreement raised KHJ's power to 5,000 watts and moved to 930 kHz, where it continues to operate.
