THE TOMBOYS are a Japanese rock and roll band that formed when the girls were 15 years old.
Their second and third albums "Come Back to 19" and "To the Dream" were produced by Glenn Matlock of the Sex Pistols, and their first London show was a huge success. The band then went on to perform at the HYPER JAPAN FESTIVAL in London and also successfully toured France, Italy, Germany and the UK.
They continued to release their fourth album "Wherever We Want" and fifth album "NOW'N'RUN" in Japan, and in 2019 they successfully completed a ten-point nationwide one-man tour.
In March 2020, the band was scheduled to perform at SXSW 2020 in Austin, Texas in the United States, but due to a new coronavirus infection, SXSW 2020 was cancelled.
The girls now perform once a month at their home base, Kobe VARIT. and continue to share their music with the world through filming and distribution.
