2016.12.18 - What Faith Is Not! Not Denial, Knowing Facts About God, Imitation, Ordering God Around.

It is important to look into those things we call faith that are not Biblical.

What things are not Biblical faith? When you know what is not Biblical faith, it will help you know what is Biblical faith.

Acts 14 tells of a healing that took place when Paul was addressing the congregation.

Acts 14:8 (NIV) - In Lystra there sat a man who was lame. He had been that way from birth and had never walked. 9 He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed 10 and called out, “Stand up on your feet!” At that, the man jumped up and began to walk.

Do you have faith to be healed, to be set free? That is the question. What faith are they talking about here?

It is not all up to Jesus, it is definitely not up to you. Your genuine willingness and God’s ability.

Paul saw in him faith to be healed. Do you have the faith? Here I stand as Paul. Can I see faith to be healed, blessed, to be delivered? Can I in you?

Do you have faith to be healed?

What you are calling faith today are mere feelings. Your mind and heart are not at its best. That is why we allow you to dance to wipe those troubles. Whey so much time dancing? So you can forget where you are coming from, because where you are coming from is full of debt and trouble. Because so much trouble, and with this your heart cannot be at its best.

Your heart can only be at its best when you are happy. Peace of heart. And God/ the Spirit of God can only attract you/ your heart, join himself to you to bless you when your heart is at its best. We live in a generation without patience/ impatience, without peace. There is no patience, hurry, hurry… Imagine you are coming to God timing God.

God is not one of those things. You can time yourself visiting a friend, to visit anyone, time yourself to do anything, but when it comes to God, He is only. You don’t time yourself to meet God. This is where you miss the mark. We don’t time God because it is all about inspiration from Heaven. We don’t instruct God, we don’t tell God when to start, how to start, when to begin, when to stop and how to stop. This is where you miss the mark.

Now, you get so much confused. You are here for a purpose. You are here to be healed, to be blessed. This is bargaining with God. Simply a bribe. That is corruption that you take to the house of God. Today is a freed day, that is why you give it to God. You don’t give your quality time to God.

You believe you are serving God. Are you serving with your quality time, with your quality strength?

What is not Biblical faith? We need biblical faith.

1. Faith is not denial. You deny the existence of a problem, everything. You don’t tell people your trouble until you are at the point of death. Then you run to God. Everyone has limitations. Faith does not deny the existence of a problem. There is a problem. A person had to recognize that he is sick before getting healed, and run to the Healer, the Savior.

2. Knowing facts about God does not change your relationship with Him. When you put the Word of God to work, eventually your circumstances will change, are subject to change.

3. Faith is not imitation. It cannot be imitated. It must arise in each person’s heart based on the Word of God. Sometimes God deals with people in different ways. God will not meet you because you imitate what someone else did. When you read a book about how to pray, God will not meet you. God will not meet you because you imitate what someone else did/ how they prayed. The person who wrote the book was inspired to do so. You were not inspired, you are just imitating.

God will meet you when you obey what He Himself told you by His Spirit based upon His Word. When you take action in obedience to God, you prosper. Taking action in obedience to God.

4. Faith is not an issue of ordering God around. We always instruct God. We always tell God we want this and that. We don’t ask Him if it is according to God’s will. God always answers what is according to His will.
