Описание: The New Zealand Building Code Clause B1 Structure, requires engineers to consider all physical conditions likely to affect the stability of the building such as temperature and fire in section B1.3.3 (c) & (i) respectively. The current state of structural fire engineering design of buildings in New Zealand is about 2-3 decades away when compared to earthquake engineering, this has contributed to the poor implementation of a detailed fire strategy to building designs. This presentation is aimed at tackling some of the common misconceptions by structural engineers and the best way to implement first principles fire strategy to the design of buildings.
