Rep. Ken Buck, D-Colo., is the second House Judiciary Committee member to ask whether the president could face charges without violating the Justice Department mandate that a sitting president can’t be criminally indicted.
More: Former special counsel Robert Mueller is facing questions from lawmakers for the first time about his two-year investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible collusion and obstruction of justice by President Donald Trump.
Mueller started testifying publicly Wednesday before the House Judiciary Committee beginning at 8:30 a.m. ET. He's then set to testify before the House Intelligence Committee starting at about 12 p.m. ET.
