This 5 speed conversion came to us with a simple complaint: "It wouldn't go into gear with the clutch pressed in."
After teardown, the problem became clear—a completely destroyed pilot bushing, with material spun out onto the clutch. That immediately pointed to a alignment issue.
We checked everything for concentricity, from the flywheel all the way to the gearbox, and found the culprit at the adaptor plate to gearbox connection.
Once corrected, we replaced the input shaft, brought everything back into proper alignment, and the result speaks for itself—smooth engagement and a transmission that works exactly as it should.
