Описание: A brief look into one judge's journey into the world of prostitution and human trafficking; and his transformative lifesaving response that is leading a change in the criminal justice system. Judge Paul Herbert is a graduate of The Ohio State University and Capital University Law School, and has been working as a judge in the Franklin County Municipal Court since 2003. In 2009, he proposed a specialized program focusing on Human Trafficking victims who have been charged with the misdemeanor offense of solicitation, and from this, CATCH was started. Judge Herbert lives in Columbus with his wife Barb and two daughters. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
