Using R and RStudio on Hyak Klone is a practical workshop for researchers who want to run R and RStudio on Hyak Klone using Open OnDemand.
Because R and RStudio on Hyak Klone are provided exclusively through containerized environments, this session focuses on how to launch an RStudio interactive session, select compute resources, manage storage for R packages, and work with containerized R environments. Participants will learn how to use community-provided RStudio containers and how to build a custom R container to support specific package and dependency requirements.
Important: This is not an R programming workshop. Attendees are expected to have prior experience using R; the focus is on environment setup and best practices for running R on Hyak Klone.
