4 easy steps to remove your finished watercolor painting from a Stonehenge Aqua Block glued on all 4 sides.
Why are some watercolor blocks are glued on 4 sides? Blocks are made to hold the sheets in place, instead of taping it down or stretching the paper. They help avoid buckling and the paper will dry flat.
Here are 4 easy steps to remove the top sheet from your block:
1. Wait for your artwork to dry completely.
2. Locate the small section of non glued paper. (It’s about an inch wide on the long, spine side).
3. Slide a letter opener, pallet knife or dull knife between your artwork and the block (anything with a straight edge should work!)
4. Gently push the knife through the glue. Keep going through all 4 sides to release the paper.
