How the 'False 9' Changed Football [Tactical Evolution]

Mesut Ozil, Zinedine Zidane, Juan Mata, Luis Figo... this list of top number 10s in world football goes on and on. These days, however, their popularity has waned; with managers opting for a 4-3-3 formation over the traditional (in the early 2000s) 4-2-3-1 employed by managers such as Jose Mourinho.
