East Gippsland Rail Trail

Описание: Day 1 (16/11) - Ride to Beaconsfield station, train to Pakenham then Vline to Bairnsdale. Ride to Nowa Nowa and camping at Nowa Nowa Caravan Park. Total 63km, 440m up.
Day 2 (17/11) - A lap at Nowa Nowa Mountain Bike Park without gear. Ride to Orbost for lunch then to Marlo. Camping by the Snowy River near Orbost. Total 80km, 600m up.
Day 3 (18/11) - Orbost to Nowa Nowa for lunch, then to Lake Entrance via Lake Colquhuob Road. Camping at Lake Entrance Recreation Reserve and Camping Ground. Total 73km, 600m up.
Day 4 (19/11) - Lake Entrance to Bruthen for Lunch via Gippsland Lakes Discovery Trail, then to Bairnsdale. Vline Bairnsdale to Pakenham, then train to Beaconsfield and ride home. Total 77km, 550m up.

East Gippsland Rail Trail 4-day solo bikepacking trip / first self sufficient trip 😀 I loved every minute of it! I dreamt about getting out there again in the last few months in Melbourne and so amazing to be free again!! Quiet and peaceful rail trails, delicious country bakery/cafe lunches, camping by the snowy river, perfect sunny weather, the changing sceneries from farmlands to forests, from rivers and lakes to the ocean, and riding at my own pace with everything I need on my bike. I definitely have the bikepacking bug now and can’t wait to do more!
