This is a demonstration of the capabilities of Banner Engineering's high-resolution PGIRS66U-15 linear opposed mode fiber array coupled to a DF-G1 fiber amplifier. The fiber array is 15 mm long, with 59 fibers evenly spaced over that distance, which results in a minimum object detection size of approximately 0.010" (0.25 mm). For this example, I have single copper strand from a stranded wire, which is approximately 0.010" in diameter, and insert it in-between the emitter and receiver of the array to trigger the fiber amplifier output (when the K50 indicator changes from green to yellow).
