An All Ages & Abilities Network in 18 months

Описание: Most encouraging is the number of women, children, elders, and people with disabilities using the cycle network for everyday trips.

Seville, Spain, dropped a nearly complete cycle network in an 18-month period of time during the economic crash of 2007, and in this episode, I reconnect with Manuel "Manu" Calvo for an update on the evolution of the network.

The city drawing from All Ages & Abilities protected and separated cycle network inspiration from cities such as Amsterdam, Utrecht and even Copenhagen twenty years ago in 2003, began the planning process and then jumped at the opportunity during the aforementioned meltdown of the economy. Since then the network has grown and improved, not as fast as needed, but it is a solid example for other global car-dependent cities to look to for inspiration.
