Santa Fe 4-8-4 3751, owned and maintained by the San Bernardino Railroad Historical Society, moves around Amtrak’s Redondo Yard in preparation for display at nearby Los Angeles Union Station the following day.
3751 backs out of the SBRHS house track onto the turntable, then pulls onto an adjacent pit for servicing. Then, after coupling up to private car National Forum, the locomotive backs through the yard to the north end where she will spend the night before running to LAUS the following day.
Photographer is a volunteer SBRHS. Redondo Yard is not publicly accessible and requires approval from Amtrak.
