Fishing Loskop Dam For Record Breaking Big Bass (South Africa)

Описание: Loskop Dam is South Africas Big Bass Dam. The south african record bass had been caught weighing in at 7.192 kg (15.86 Pounds) by a man Called Wayne Naude. Loskop dam is truly a big bass factory and I needed to catch myself a true big bass.

This Big bass video was shot on the 6th August 2022 for another Angler 4 Anglers Bass fishing competition. This competition meant the most for James and Myself due to us having to make top 10 to get close to fishing the super finals out at spionkop dam.

This video started on Friday the 5th August 2022. James and Myself traveling to loskop dam. We stayed at a venue called Go2Chalets (https://www.travelground.com/accommod...)
instead of staying at Forever Resorts which was right at the launch. The cost of Go 2 was way cheaper for a chalet with a tv, bathroom and kitchen and it was a 5 minute drive to the launch.

The day we got to loskop dam we hung out with our friends and spoke abit of fishing to get a small idea about this record holding big bass dam. We had never fished loskop dam so we needed to find some strategy to get onto some fish so we could place top ten for competition day. As the night progressed we had chatted and got some tips for our big day at loskop dam.

Day 2 of this record breaking big bass dam, it is competition day. Nerves for this competition are high. There are some great anglers in this league and they will be difficult to beat at this big bass dam.

It was go time for us since we picked number 1 and got to go through the gates first. We got to our first spot which we heard holds alot of big bass. Our first fish and my first fish ever caught at loskop dam was on a drop shot with a XZone Finesse slammer. The bass was holding in some brush and it attacked the lure the minute I dropped it in there.This was great because our skunk was off the boat and this meant we could now catch many more fish. This wasn't the case because we didn't catch for hour untill I hooked into a tank. I was casting a Lipless Crank Bait from shallow water into deeper water and I must have run the lipless crank bait past it's mouth https://tacklecabin.co.za/collections.... The fight was epic an my 7foot medium rod with 10 pound flurocarbon line. It truely was a fight that I will never forget. She weighed 2,96Kg on the scale we had on the boat, After the day was done we weighed her on the A4A scale and she weighed 3,34Kg.

After this fish we struggled to catch fish in the locations we were fish in. I threw the finesse slammer on a drop shot rig and I caught myself our 3rd fish. The fish at loskop give an epic fight regardless of the size. More hours go by and we landed our 5th fish. This was in the last minute before weigh in.

The day was fun due to me catching an absolute monster at Loskop dam but all in all the day was extremely tough and we we were lucky to even catch our five fish. At the end of the day we landed up coming 6th in this Anglers 4 Anglers competition and we weighed in a bag of 5,88Kg.

Loskop dam is purely a big bass venue and I'll be back soon to try and catch my new PB.
