The US capture of Venezuelan President Maduro happened exactly 36 years to the day after the US arrested Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega on January 3rd, 1990.
In this stream, we dig into the history of the Panama invasion and how it mirrors what just happened in Venezuela. Noriega was a CIA asset for years, running cocaine with US knowledge, until he refused to let Panama be used as a staging ground for operations against Nicaragua. Then suddenly he was a drug trafficker who needed to be removed.
