Double Cleansing
Always start and finish your day with fresh skin. If you use makeup or sunscreen (and you absolutely should be), you need an oil cleanser. Rub it on dry skin for a minute to loosen everything, then wash off and follow up with a water-based cleanser to remove any remaining dirt.
Toning
Toners restore the pH balance of your skin and provide the initial layer of moisture. If it's a warm season, use a light, alcohol-free toner. Active ingredients such as rose water, hyaluronic acid, or green tea are soothing and refreshing for summer skin.
Essence
This is a special move taken from Korean skincare in Pakistan. An essence is less thick than a serum but more concentrated than a toner. It intensely moisturizes and prepares your skin for treatments. Press it gently with your palms, not swipe with cotton, so you don't waste product.
Hydrating Serums
This is where the glow begins to show. Hyaluronic acid serums help hydrate and are the secret to plump, silky skin. If you have uneven tone or pigmentation, vitamin C serum can lighten while being gentle. For sensitive skin, niacinamide reduces pores and fortifies your barrier.
Moisturizer
Even if you have oily skin, you can't miss this step. During summer, choose a gel-like moisturizer that hydrates without weighing your skin. Choose formulas with ceramides or squalane to maintain the balance of your skin.
Sunscreen
Nothing ruins your hard work faster than sun damage. Daily SPF is non-negotiable in a summer skincare routine. Choose a lightweight, broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 50. If you’re outside a lot, reapply every 2–3 hours.
Weekly Treatments
One or two nights a week, treat your skin to something special:
Hydrating sheet masks: Perfect after a long day outdoors. Pop one in the fridge before applying for a cooling treat.
Sleeping packs: These night masks trap all of your serums and have you waking up with a radiant glow.
