Here's a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to get the David B ready for a new season of small ship cruises. As you might know, we cook all of our meals for our guests on a wood-fired cookstove. Years ago we discovered Homefire Prest Logs for the stove. They are amazing to cook with because they burn long and steady and there is no mess from bark or bugs.
So how many logs does it take to outfit the David B for a full summer? Well, we burn about 1900 or five pallets worth of logs. Last month we shipped three pallets to Juneau to put into storage, and this week we stowed two pallets worth on the boat. I hope you enjoy this little video of what log-loading day is like!
