This week on The Horti-Culturalists we visit the sensational Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne which holds the Australian native species collection of the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria. It is a wonderfully designed landscape of over 450 indigenous Australian plant species setting out to challenge any preconceived notions of how to garden with Australian plants. We meet Manager of Horticulture at Cranbourne John Arnott who shares with us the story of the garden from its inception in 2006 to today and reveals the odd failure on the way! Stephen is in his element amongst the Gondwana collection and Matthew discovers there are in fact several native Plectranthus species in Australia!
