There are many types of triangle. Mainly we categorize them based on sides of the triangle and based on angle of the triangles.
First type of triangle based on side of the triangle is Equilateral triangle. The triangle which has it all sides or edges equal to each other is called equilateral triangle. Equilateral triangle has its all angle equal too - 60 degree.

Second types of the triangle based on sides is isosceles triangle. The triangle which has its two sides and two angles equal to each other are known as isosceles triangle.

Third types of triangle based on sides is scalene triangle. The triangle which has its all sides different to each other and even angles different to each other are called scale triangle.
