The video shows workers carrying out winter concrete pouring at a construction site: one worker uses a flame gun to heat the tied steel cages and the formwork underneath them, while another worker holds a concrete pump pipe to pour fresh concrete onto the preheated steel cages and formwork.
This is a necessary winter construction measure. When temperatures are low, cold steel cages and icy formwork will quickly take away the heat of fresh concrete, which stops the concrete from hardening normally, leading to cracks and insufficient strength. Heating melts any ice on the surface and warms up the steel and formwork first, making sure the concrete can set well and reach the required strength as designed.
