Starting Point: Delhi (NCR)

Destination: Naina Devi Temple, Himachal Pradesh

Total Distance: Approx. 350–370 km

Travel Time: 6.5 to 8 hours (depending on traffic and halts)

Route Taken: Delhi → Sonipat → Panipat → Karnal → Kurukshetra → Ambala → Chandigarh → Kiratpur Sahib → Swarghat → Naina Devi

Road Condition: Mostly excellent highways (NH44 & NH205), with hilly terrain in the last 30–40 km

The Naina Devi Mandir is a highly revered Shakti Peeth, believed to be the place where the eyes (Naina) of Goddess Sati fell during Lord Shiva’s tandav after her self-immolation. It sits atop a hill and offers panoramic views of the Gobind Sagar Lake and surrounding valleys.

Naina Devi Temple attracts millions of devotees each year, especially during Navratri, and offers a spiritually uplifting atmosphere coupled with the serene beauty of the Shivalik hills.
