"Blood of Good and Evil" (Vietnamese title: Giọt máu thiện ác) is truly a TVB classic. It has all the critical elements of a successful TVB modern costume drama: Complicated plot with lots of characters, fast-paced story, a very strong cast with shining lead actor/actress, and great songs/music.
Thanks to Blood of Good and Evil, Deric rose to fame quickly in the early 1990s. In the drama Deric Wan is Nam, a young man with a promising career in his step-father Ching's enterprise. A righteous cop has been after Ching for years because Ching makes money by all sorts of illegal means. Failed to arrest Ching, he succeeds in gathering evidence to put Nam into jail. However, only at this point he realizes Nam is actually his biological son.
