Описание: Saskatoon, in the center of Canada's Saskatchewan province, is the home of this new below-ground parkade. The project used 12,000 square feet of Nudura's One-Series product, and was the developer's first time using ICFs. Due to limitation of space on site, the developer only had 1 to 2 inches of space from the exterior of the foundation wall to the face of the shoring material. The use of a one-sided ICF helped with this because the forms are supported internally so external reinforcing is not required. Exposed concrete on the interior is the ideal option for a parkade. Given the approximately 110- by 140-foot size of the parkade and varying wall heights of more than 25 feet, there was little margin of error. The various stakeholders recognized the success of Nudura's one-sided block on this project. Thanks to those discussions, the form distributor has since had additional commercial and residential builds specified for ICF. In an area where ICF construction is not well-known, one successful project can have a strong positive impact on local decision-makers.
