"Weak And Powerless" from A Perfect Circle's "Thirteenth Step" album (2003).
I couldn't enter the usual recording room so I had to just sit on the couch. Hope you guys don't mind. The song with the most awkward chorus vocal lines. Maynard seems to mess it up and so do I when singing this.
A few people have been waiting for this song, so it's nice that I can make at least a couple of people happy with this one. Just don't look at that last strum after the last note of the song. Anyway, I have looked at many bass covers and tabs for the intro, and it varies from person to person. Some people play the exact same as the songsterr file, some people improvise and some people play it in a very different way. The first verse was also weird because you just can't hear any bass until a sudden note at 0:32. I chose to copy the other covers and just followed the guitar. If you look at live performances of this song, you'll clearly see that the bass player is playing some very high notes. Anyway, every chorus in the song is very easy, but it is played differently each time. The second verse is very easy although it sounds very difficult. I was freaking out when I was transcribing it, but now I feel like this is the easiest part along with the choruses. The rest of the song is not worth mentioning since there's no trick to it. And after you're done with the last chorus, you get to play the intro again which is quite difficult. You can see that I forgot to strum some extra notes with my right hand because of the sudden switch of tempo.
