Ten years ago, on April 28, 2013, Hôpital Universitaire de Mirebalais (HUM) opened its doors to the public for the first time. Built upon an empty rice field in the Central Plateau of Mirebalais, Haiti in partnership with Partners In Health / Zanmi Lasante, HUM became a 205,000 square foot beacon of hope, health, and change.
Over the past decade, HUM has served patients from all over Haiti with critical, lifesaving healthcare. Furthermore, it has transformed a community by providing thousands of jobs, from technical training to medical residency programs.
