New Palm Trees | New Nursery | Plant Haul | Carpenter Bees

This week in vlogging was crazy! ... in the sense that I hardly got much done at home in the garden. :) However what I did achieve I very much enjoy. I went out on a search for some pots from Lowes to use to repot some palm trees; which I never got around to doing because it was a busy week outside of gardening. I also went out to my palm tree place to pick up a couple of Queen palms to plant up in my pool pots. I didn't have time to film in the greenhouse but i got like a 1 second clip... not much but gives a glance at the place. After leaving the greenhouse I had two 12-14 foot palm trees hanging out of my car so i thought to myself, "hey! Why not go by the Lowes out here!?" ..since it was so easy driving with plants hanging out the back of the car. I did get lucky there and found one of the pots I needed and browsed their houseplants a bit while there. How bout those lemon lime philodendrons?... those were cool! I brought the palms home and later that night potted the palm trees off camera because it was dark and I was pinched for time. The next morning I filled the planters with Supertunia Vista Bubble Gum and Sweet Caroline Sweetheart Lime sweet potato vines from Proven Winners. I like these sweet potato vines because they have heart shaped foliage which gives a similar appearance to a philodendron vine. From there I went to a nursery that is new to me called, HIllermans nursery in Washington, Missouri. I went with the hopes of finding a large pot to pot my pygmy date palm in. Since the weather was calling for tornadoes that evening I had to cut the follow me around short there. It was fun seeing their greenhouse and awesome houseplants! There were some cool senecio there and I'm seeing them more and more, making me want to try them out! From the nursery I had a small plant haul which was interrupted by a phantom tornado, rude! .. in the plant haul I grabbed a few banana trees, some pottery and a Croton 'Freckles' with cute little foliage! Lastly I finished the vlog with a topic I wanted to discuss everyone out there in the gardening and nature community. I have been having a lot of moral dilemmas in what to do about Carpenter bees and I would like everyone's feedback, suggestion, anything to help a build a productive conversation on the conflict between conservation and destructive critters.
