Thanks to a request by a user on this channel, I created this video for foot & toe strength. These can be good warmups before a dynamic practice like Surya Namaskars or before a seated practice for Meditation and Pranayamas. They are also beneficial for removing stiffness during the cold weather. Good for people having Arthritis.
You can practice seated on the floor or on the chair. Repeat as many times as possible during the day.
1) Passive Rotation of Toes - Bend one leg at the knee and circle each toe clockwise and anti-clockwise on both the feet. Flex and Point each toe with bent leg at the knee. Repeat on other foot.
2) Toe Bending - Curl and Release the toes with feet stretched out in Staff Pose/Dandasana.
3) Ankle Bending - Flex and Point. Alternate each leg and repeat flex/point each foot.
4) Ankle Rotation - Together or feet apart - clockwise and anti-clockwise.
5) Feet Outward flex away from each other and Inward towards each other.
6) Feet outward - Flex and point each feet.
7) Feet in Namaste posture for fun.
Benefits: Feet strength, stimulating the nerves connected to the entire body and making the ankles flexible to sit in seated postures on the floor.
