The Power of Masking ✍️🎨

my post-processing workflow mainly includes:

1️⃣ Recovering Details
Brightening subjects (cars, people, buildings, etc.).

2️⃣ Enhancing Colors
Deciding whether to go for a warm or cool tone, fine-tuning each color, and making the colors of the subjects stand out to capture the audience's attention.

3️⃣ Increasing Contrast
By increasing contrast, the details in both the shadows and highlights become clearer, making the various parts of the image easier to distinguish.
Adjusting the contrast also helps the subject stand out from the background, allowing the viewer's eyes to focus more easily on the key elements.

4️⃣ Adding Deaze
Adding a hazy effect can mask certain flaws or imperfections in the image, such as noise or uneven skin texture, making the overall image look smoother and more polished.
I apply a vignette to every photo. When shooting, I don’t take just a few photos in one location—I take a lot, exploring different angles and waiting for all the elements to align perfectly in my frame to capture a beautiful moment. Patience is key.

5️⃣ Masking ⭐️
The desktop version of Lightroom has excellent masks, powered by AI, that can identify areas you want to edit. I like to mask the ground, darken it (add haze, increase contrast, lower blacks, and slightly decrease exposure).
