💭First of all I wish everyone a Happy 2026🙂🎊! I was figuring out different ways to make videos and I decided to separate video clips I took of myself and the learning from c drama parts. So learning from c drama will be a longer video for itself instead of to be squeezed into the second half.

As more words to be introduced, Im going to read out more sentences and longer paragraphs so you can practice more listening.

I’ll be uploading a longer learning from c drama video soon.

📚In this video I’ll teach you how to ask and answer to how many people (and pets )are in the family. Many new characters are introduced from HSK1 as well as a few extra popular and useful words such as the word ‘but’.

In the next video I’ll teach you how to asking and answering about age.

💪 Your Exercise:

Try to answer the question ‘你家有几口人？‘’How many people(mouths ) are in your family’ in Chinese. you can also practice introducing family members of someone you know or a fictional characters, you can practice answering the question to yourself the goal is to make yourself familiar with putting characters into longer sentences, and answer a question with multiple sentences. We’ll be learning more words for deeper conversation with people.

👄 Pronunciation Practice:

I'll be repeating the words multiple times at different speeds, from slow to a fast, natural conversation pace. Please repeat the words with me to practice your pronunciation and train the muscles in your tongue and mouth.

👂 Listening Training:

Please also listen carefully to each word, especially when multiple words are spoken together. Chinese people often speak very quickly with each other, as well as on TV and the news. You must train your ears to distinguish the words at different speeds and with different intonation.

👀 Memorize the Characters and Pinyin:

By memorizing the Pinyin and learning to read the characters, you'll be able to type them. You may not need to learn how to write Chinese characters by hand, but by recognizing them and knowing their pronunciation, you can type them on your phone and computer.
