Dr. Marcus Holmes is a Professor of Government, chair of the Government Department, co-director of the Social Science Research Methods Center and director of the Political Psychology and International Relations lab at the College of William & Mary in Virginia, USA. He is the author of “Face-to-Face Diplomacy: Social Neuroscience and International Relations” (Cambridge University Press, 2018) which won the 2018 Best Book on Diplomacy award from the Diplomatic Studies Section of the International Studies Association. He earned his doctorate from The Ohio State University and has previously taught at Georgetown University, The Ohio State University, and Fordham University. Professor Holmes has published in International Organization, Journal of Theoretical Politics, International Studies Perspectives, Review of Policy Research, International Relations of the Asia-Pacific, Journal of Transportation Security, Journal of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, and Homeland Security Affairs.
