In this video, I demonstrate how I used adaptive clearing on a CNC machine to create a toy train track out of wood. I employed full depth of cuts and set the profile stepover at 30% and the finish top milling at 50% for soft pine. The rapid movements during the adaptive process were intense, but I managed to complete the perimeter without any issues. In the future, I will increase the stock for the full DOC finish pass to .5mm to avoid rounded corners on the ends of the tracks. I also used horizontal dog bones to achieve clean, sharp corners.
