KHAJURAHO the world heritage site of madhya pradesh located at chatarpur district. These temples are divided into 3 groups as western, eastern and southern groups where temples are dedicated to lord Shiva lord Vishnu and Jain's are built. These temples were built by Rajputs of Chandel dynasty between 10th to 11th century.Khajuraho group of temples are perfect examples of Nagar style of temple architecture.They were built in panhayatan style with major deity at centre and other four at the corner of sqaure.In this video a brief introduction of Western group of temples in presented.The western group holds Laxman temple, kandariya mahadev , chitragupt temple, Jagdamba and vishwanath temple.
